One of the global missions of the AlliancesFrançaises is to “promote exchange between cultures and to contribute in general to the fluorescence of cultural diversity”.

Around the world AlliancesFrançaises certainly carry out the promotion of French language and culture, but are also charged with the promotion of local culture.

This is why “The Small Elephants of Chiang Rai” fits perfectly into this mission. It allows us to discover the rich diversity of artistic life in Chiang Rai by presenting the work of 90 artists of the region. The choice of a common theme, the elephant, also allows the creation of a coherent and harmonious collection. The AllianceFrançaise of Bangkok, through its Chiang Rai branch, is very pleased to support this admirable project to give value to cultural diversity and local talent.
